Hawks answer Hurricane pressure

A great game of intensity and speed was played just prior to the skills competition at Center 200. A back and forth affair saw Halifax score the only goal as the Hurricane dropped only their third loss of the season.

The Hurricane had their chances but couldn' find the twine... well except perhaps on a goal that fans reportedly said was pulled from behind the goal line out before the officials could get to the net to check things out. Hey that's hockey and with plenty of quality scoring chances the Hurricane effort was solid and we simply just didn't get a bounce or place a quality shot by the Hawks tender. Both goalies played well and the game was fast and entertaining.

The Huriicane will play the Harbour Storm Saturday morning with a chance to get into the crossovers but will not take them lightly as they have shown some improvement at the Legion tournament and are looking for a crossover bid as well.

Stay tuned as the weather is going to get ugly with a Storm and Hurricane coming to County Arena in Cape Breton.
