The Hurricane came ready to play against the Fredericton Capitols early Friday morning as they tried to solidify an advantage before facing the Halifax Hawks later on Friday in game 3.

The Hurricane created numerous odd man rushes and found themselves alone on a 2-0 breakaway as well a lone rushes on some quick transition. With a number of breakaways and strong work down low it still took some time before they were able to find the back of the net as we hit the goalies chest with some regularity.

The Hurricane were able to post 6 to the Capitols 1 though and move them up the standings with a 2-0-0 record.

A tougher battle lays ahead as Halifax needs a win after dropping a 2-1 decision to the Harbour Storm who are playing well after the Christmas break and having a few injured players return to the lineup.
