Hurricanes Split Weekend Games With Newbridge Academy

Solid play from the first shift to the final buzzer on Saturday evening against the Newbridge Academy Senators resulted in a 6 - 1 win for your Hurricanes in front of another supportive crowd.

On Sunday morning, both teams went at it again.  Despite your Hurricanes outshooting the hard working Newbridge squad 45 - 13, Newbridge owned a 3 - 2 victory when the final seconds ticked away.  Unfotunately, another solid effort and great game played by all Hurricane players just didn't pan out.

Your Hurricanes still sit in 3rd place in the 12 team Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League with a record of 7 wins, 2 loses and 3 ties.

Next weekend, the team travels to Saint John, NB to participate in the Maritime Challenge Cup Tournament with play beginning on Friday morning against the Dieppe Flyers.  Game two is later on Friday against Charlottetown and game three of the preliminary round of the tournament is against Fredericton on Saturday.
