Hurricane Players Bring Home Gold at ACC

Congratulations to Hurricane player, Jacob Myra, member of Team Nova Scotia Under 14 who today is proudly wearing a GOLD medal by defeating Team New Brunswick by a score of 3 – 2 in the Championship game of the Atlantic Challenge Cup. In the championship game, Jacob scored the game tying goal and the game winner late in the third period to seal the win for Nova Scotia.

Congratulations to three other Hurricanes, Colby Muise, Keith Getson and Christopher Goreham who are bringing home GOLD medals around their necks as members of Team Nova Scotia Under 15 after dominating Team PEI in a 11 – 0 victory in the Championship Game. Hurricane’s goaltender Colby Muise got the call in nets for the Championship game and he didn’t disappoint, earning a shutout in the Championship game and an overall GAA tournament average of 1.00. Top end defenseman and Hurricanes assistant captain, Christopher Goreham was relentless in shutting down teams all weekend, playing big minutes and in key situations, making solid plays in every area of the ice and also chipping in with an assist over the weekend. Hurricane’s Captain, Keith Getson was awarded the Team Nova Scotia U15 Hard Hat Award being deemed the U15’s best overall contributor by his teammates. This is a prestigious award, exemplifying leadership and overall great play and earning respect of teammates and coaches with his commitment to excellence.

We would also like to congratulate former Hurricane players, Allie Munroe and Catherine Tufts in winning a silver medal with Team Nova Scotia Female Under 17 Team.

Great job guys! We are very proud of you and your Nova Scotia teammates.
