Western Hurricanes

Hurricane Squad Finish January Strong

A  3 -1 road win this weekend against a very hard working Truro Bearcats team gave your BMO Western Hurricanes 4 straight wins to cap off the month of January.  The past couple of weeks have demonstrated a strong collective effort from the depth of the line up and contributions from all players.

The Hurricanes squad sits in first place in the NSMBHL with a record of 24 wins and 4 loses.  The players have a very busy February as the SPUD Tournament in PEI approaches next weekend, followed by two regular season games against the Valley Kings Mutual Wildcats in a home and home weekend series on weekend # 2 in February.  The Hurricanes will then head to Pictou County for the annual Scotsburn Memorial Tournament on weekend # 3 where the preliminary games of the tournament will finish off the NSMBHL regular season for the Hurricanes.  Following that, it's NSMBHL playoff time in late February.

For statistical details of the past weekend and the entire season, please view the game results, team stats and players stats section of the website and the NSMBHL website for details of the entire league.

Your Hurricanes next home game will be on Saturday, February 11th at 4:00 PM at Queens Place against the Valley Kings Mutual Wildcats.  Come out and watch some great NSMBHL action and cheer on your Hurricanes in their last regular season home game.

GO HURRICANES !!!!!!
