Western Hurricanes

Nova X-Men Respond

The Hurricanes knew it would be different than the lopsided exhibition game but no one could have predicted the solid goaltending that the X-Men would receive. Fortunately for the Hurricanes, Cory Peterson was able to match it when needed.

With no score after two periods but lots of chances by the Hurricanes patience became the name of the game. A quick flood and a simple message by staff reaffirming that success will come just “keep doing what you’re doing”.

The third period proved that patience is a virtue and with goals from Christian Tufts(Stone Harnish) and Catherine Tufts(Nickerson) the Hurricanes have the 3 and 0 start to the regular season they came to get this weekend. With a crossover game Sunday morning looming the Hurricanes will rest before facing another test they hope to pass on the way to finals of the opening tournament.
