After patrolling the blue line for The Novas during the 2015-2016 season as the only female in the Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League, Ella MacLean commits to Rothesay Netherwood School for the 2016-2017 season. When reached Jeff Lewis, Director of Hockey Operations for Rothesay Netherwood School, commented, "“We are very excited to have a student-athlete of Ella’s calibre decide to attend RNS to help further her academic and hockey growth. Ella has had a tremendous minor hockey career and will be a great addition to our school community and our female varsity hockey program at RNS. Our school has done well preparing student-athletes to be successful at the university level, and we feel with Ella’s skill set and work ethic that we will help her to reach her academic and hockey goals.”
