Pink in The Rink

This is the Cougars annual Pink in the Rink game for Breast Cancer Awareness.  The team is selling tickets on an autographed Kyle Farrell pink jersey, proceeds going to Cape Breton Cancer Centre.  The jersey was kindly donated by Ron Crawley of City Printers, who also donated last years Marc-Andre Fleury Pink jersey on which the team raised 500$ for the cause.  Tony's Bakery has donated some baked goods, with proceeds going to the Cape Breton Cancer Centre.

Every year during this game, the captain writes a message for the game day program about this event and what it means to them.   The following is from this years Captain.

The one thing I can say about cancer is that it hurts a lot of families.  It is painful for the person who is fighting it and painful for their families and loved ones too.  I have family members who are fighting breast cancer now and they need our support.
We, are trying to do our part to bring awareness to this terrible disease.  We take pride in hosting our "Pink in the Rink" game and we ask you to help us by showing your support at our game.  We all need to do our part, and maybe we can make one persons journey a little easier.
On behalf of the Joneljim Cougars, We Thank You very much!!!
Think Pink!!!
