Game #4 was a battle between the the 2nd and 3rd place teams in  Nova Scotia.  The always tough Western Hurricanes jumped out to a 3 goal lead after 2 periods.  But the Cougars came to life in the 3rd.   In front of a loud Cougar crowd of 700, Reid and O'Neil scored to bring the came to within 1, O'Neil would score his second of the game minutes later to deadlock the game at 3's.  With momentum and the hometown fans on their side, Captain Mitchell Balmas sniped the winner, and he also added an empty netter, final score 5-3 in favor of the Cape Breton team.  Farrell, who was solid all game on the back end, had 2 assists in the 3rd period comeback.  Gentile, Dauphinee and Matt LeBlanc also had helpers.  Levi Denny kicked aside 21 shots for the win.  It was the first win the Cougars franchise ever had over the Western Club.

After the round robin, some Cougars picked up awards, Mitchell Balmas was named MVP and also Top Scorer, while Dylan Morley was named an All-Star.

Cougars finish 1st after round robin play and took on the regular season champs in the first semi-final.  In front of 900 fans, this game did not disappoint.  Micheal O'Leary opened the scoring for the Hawks in the second period.  Hawks lead 1-0 with 20 to play.  Yates scored from Trickett and Pimentel in the 3rd to even the game, and send it to overtime.  In OT, both goalies stole the show, Denny for the Cougars and Reilly pickard for the Hawks kicked aside every shot they seen through-out the extra frame.  1 OT wouldn't be enough as the teams remained deadlocked after 4 periods.  in the 5th period, Nathan LeDrew fired a knuckler past a screened Denny, Hawks win 2-1 and advance to finals.

On Sunday the Cougars showed ready to battle for bronze vs. Bubba Rays Gulls.  Johnny Foley would open the scoring for Gulls and give them a 1 goal lead after 2 periods.  With time ticking down, Dman Bettens fired a rocket past Gulls netminder Matt Williams to send the game to OT once again, Balmas and Morley getting the assists.   Once again, the goalies stole the show, Denny and Williams kicked aside every shot in the extra frame, and sent the Cougars to double OT for the second game in a row. This time, Morley and Bettens hooked up to send a speedy Derek Gentile down the left wing and he scored on a backhander to give the Cougars the bronze!!
