Hurricanes Finish 2012 With Two Wins at Home
Your BMO Western Hurricanes hosted the Dartmouth Whalers in a two game NSMBHL regular season weekend set on Saturday and Sunday to finish off the 2012 portion of the season for both clubs.
Two solid efforts was being demanded of the players as they approached the holiday break. Attention to details, unmatched work ethic to complete an excellent first half of the season was in order. The players collectively did exactly that, by defeating the Dartmouth club 7 - 1 on Saturday evening and 3 - 0 on Sunday morning.
Entering the holiday break, the team has 14 wins, 3 loses and 5 ties, where they presently sit in 2nd place in Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League regular season standings, only two points out of first. Overall, including tournaments the team's season stats record stands at 28 wins, 3 loses, 6 ties and 1 OT loss.
The team will get lots of rest and time to spend with family and friends over the Holidays and focus on strong play entering 2013.
