Storm Finish the Regular Season Finish 2nd

   

The Storm capped off their regular season in Antigonish on Saturday with an 8-1 win over the Novas and finished second place in league standings! The Storm finished the regular season with a club record 26 wins! The official record is 23 regulation wins, 5 regulation losses, 2 OT wins, 1 OT loss, 1 SO win and 1 SO loss.

 

Scoring was led by Cole MacLeod, who scored five (yes five!) times plus one assist! Aiden O’Donnell had a five point day with two goals and three assists and took the league’s goals and points titles! River Welsh scored once to take the lead in the rookie scoring race and Owen O’Donnell had three assists and took the league’s assist title. Claire Sanford and Maddock Lopez had two apples each and Mack Clements had one. Goaltender Will Cole turned away 20 of 21 shots faced with the only goal coming on a PK at 4:59 in the 3rd after battling through close to seven straight minutes of PK.

 

The Storm will be on the road next weekend to start the playoffs against either the Valley Wildcats or the WearWell Bombers (they play this afternoon) in a best two out three game series with the series winner moving onto Provincials.


This season, the Storm and the players broke many club and league records and many individual club and league records plus several notable achievments. Later this week, we will go through them all.
