The Western Hurricane Major Bantam Hockey Club is about developing players to move on to the next level and an opportunity has already come to one of our own.

Catherine Tufts is one of the names of the players who will be taking part in the Team Atlantic Female Under 18 summer evaluation camp next week at Acadia University in Wolfville which was announced Tuesday by Hockey Nova Scotia.

Team Atlantic is comprised of players from each of the four Atlantic Provinces. Ten players from each province and then four wild card positions make up the 44 players that are invited to the camp.

The evaluation camp will take place July 17-21 the facilities at Acadia Arena. 

The team selected will participate in the Female National Under 18 Tournament being held in Shaquenay, Quebec from November 2-6, 2011.

The Hurricane family would like to extend all the best to Catherine as she prepares to compete for one of the precious spots on Team Atlantic.
