NEW FRANCHISE AWARDED IN BEDFORD REGION

The Bedford Bandits will join the U15 Major league this season

Hockey Nova Scotia, in partnership with the Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League, announced today that a new league franchise has been awarded in the Bedford region.

Following a call for bids last month and a thorough selection process, an entry from an operating group consisting of Paul Hunt and Ja-red Glazebrook was selected as the winning bid in the region.

The new franchise will be branded as the Bedford Bandits U15 Major Hockey Club and will begin operations during the upcoming 2022-23 Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League season.

The new team operators bring several years of coaching and volunteer experience at various levels of hockey in Nova Scotia to their new team.

“Paul and Ja-red are dedicated volunteers with very impressive hockey backgrounds. We know they are committed to the growth and development of young players in the Bedford region," said Kevin Benjamin, Hockey Nova Scotia Elite Hockey Chair.

You can follow along with the latest new and updates from the new team on their Twitter and Instagram accounts.

The Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League is made up of 12 teams from across the province and is the top U15 league in Nova Scotia.

Hockey Nova Scotia would like to congratulate Paul Hunt and Ja-red Glazebrook on their winning bid and wish their team the best of luck next season.
