Novas Sweep Series
The Novas swept their best of 3 playoff series against the Cole Harbour Storm on Saturday night at The Antigonish Arena on the shoulders of Captain Matthew Ellis. Down one goal after the 1st period, Ellis tied the game at 1 on the power play only to have the Storm regain a 2-1 lead to end the second period. The Nova Captain then fired of 4 straight goals in 8 minutes to stake his team to a 5-2 lead. "It was a solid team effort," stated Coach Stewart. "It was the first time in a while that we played the entire 50 minutes of a game. Matthew certainly stepped up his game tonight along with everyone else in the lineup."
