Novas Earn Four Points

   
The Novas earned four hard fought road points this weekend. Saturday evening they faced of against the Landkwork Gulls in St. Margarets Bay, which has historically been a tough place for The Novas to earn a point. Leading the way for The Novas was defenseman Brant Timmons who recorded four assists in the game. Goals were scored by rookie Lewis Taylor (2), Jack Hartery, Daniel Gillis and Luke Gould while netminder Ben Van Steinburg stopped 30 of the 33 shots that the Gulls threw against him.
Sunday on the way home, The Novas stopped into the Wellness Center in Pictou County for a brief encounter with the Wearwell Bombers. The Novas recorded another 5 goals coming of the sticks of Lewis Taylor, Luke Gould, Ben MacLellan, Brant Timmons & Luke Hadley while they limited the Bombers to only 22 shots on goal. Goaltender Kenzie MacPhail kicked out all but two of the shots he faced from the Bombers.
The Novas head to the 36th Annual Monctonian 'AAA' Challenge this weekend to compete with 23 other Major Bantam hockey teams in the well know annual tournment.
