The Valley Wildcats U15 Major Fall Training Camp will kick off on Tuesday September 3, 2024 at the Kings Mutual Century Centre in Berwick.

The Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League has enacted new guidelines surrounding tryouts. The Fall Camp will be on an invite-only basis, with initial invites only distributed to those players on the Valley Wildcats U15 Major 25-player protected list. These registration forms will be sent out on Thursday August 1, and are to be completed and submitted to Rhonda Baxter (RLB@baxtergroup.ca) along with Phase 1 payment no later than Thursday August 15.

***If you are a player who has received their release from your home association/territory team (including Valley), and are interested in attending the Valley Wildcats U15 Major Fall Training Camp, please email Head Coach Scott Trask (scottie_trask@hotmail.com) with an invite request, including the following information. Please understand that these will be reviewed by GM & coaching staff, and that not all requests will be fulfilled.

Teams are now only permitted to have up to 18 players from outside of their 25 Player Protected List attend their tryout process. This is not per phase but rather for the entirety of the tryout process.

It is important to note that all 18 spots will not be filled initially. Please email Head Coach Scott Trask (scottie_trask@hotmail.com) if you receive a release at the conclusion of Phase 1 or Phase 2 and would like to attend camp.

Tues Sept 3 – 7:15-8:45pm – Intersquad Game 1 (Kings Mutual Century Centre)

Wed Sept 4 – 5-6:30pm – Fitness Testing (Kings Mutual Century Centre)

Sun Sept 8 – 2:30-4pm – Intersquad Game 2 (Kings Mutual Century Centre)

Tues Sept 10 – 6:30-8:pm – On-Ice Practice 1 (Kings Mutual Century Centre)

Wed Sept 11 – 5:30-7pm – Exhibition Game 1 vs Rangers (East Hants Sportsplex)

Sat Sept 14 – 5:15-7:15pm – Exhibition Game 2 vs Bedford (Greenfoot Energy Centre (Bedford 4-Pad))

Sun Sept 15 – Players released; protected list reduced to 22 players.

 

Phase 2: Sept 17-26 – Cost $150 (Due prior to Sept 17)

Tues Sept 17 – 6:30-8pm – On-Ice Practice (Kings Mutual Century Centre)

Thur Sept 19 – 5:30-7:30pm – Exhibition Game @ Dartmouth (Zatzman Sportsplex)

Fri Sept 20 - 6-8pm - Dryland Training & Softball Team Builder (Lockhart Ryan Memorial Park)

Tues Sept 24 – 6:30-8pm – On-Ice Practice (Kings Mutual Century Centre)

Thurs Sept 26 – 7-8:30pm – Exhibition Game vs Dartmouth (Kings Mutual Century Centre)

Thurs Sept 26 – Players released; protected list reduced to 20 players.

 

Phase 3: Sept 28-29 – Cost $100 (Due prior to Sept 28)

Sat Sept 28: Early Bird Tournament (Charles V. Keating Centre - Antigonish, NS)

GAME 1: 10:30-12pm vs Joneljim Cougars

GAME 2: 3:30-5pm vs Western Hurricanes

Sun Sept 29: Early Bird Tournament (Charles V. Keating Centre - Antigonish, NS)

GAME 3: 11-12:30pm vs Truro Bearcats

GAME 4: 4-5:30pm vs Rangers

 

Final roster submitted by midnight Sept 29.
