In Loving Memory – Matthew LeBlanc
2010 – 2025

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of Matthew LeBlanc, who was named an Honorary Member of The Novas U15 Major Hockey Team during the 2019–2020 season as part of the Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League’s Wear It For Wishes campaign in partnership with the Children’s Wish Foundation.

Matthew was more than a guest — he was a true teammate. With his courage, warmth, and infectious smile, he brought energy and perspective to our team in a way we will never forget. He proudly dropped the puck at our Wear It For Wishes game, and from that moment on, he held a permanent place in our hearts.

Matthew passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, surrounded by family. While his time with us was far too short, his impact was immeasurable.

On behalf of The Novas family — past and present — we send our heartfelt condolences to Matthew’s loved ones. We will forever remember him as part of our team.
