Ethan was a big part of the success for the Baron's this week. He scored in both of their games versus Cole Harbour on Wednesday and Halifax on Saturday. He converted on a in tight 2 on 1 play to put the Barons up 3-1 in the second period versus Cole Harbour and then he had the game tying goal versus the Hawks on Saturday with 5 minutes left to play. His physical play and relentless forechecking abilities continue to create space for both he and his line mates and it was nice to see him get rewarded on the score sheet. As the old saying goes "Hard work pays off". Way to go, Ethan. Congratulations on a great week.

Taylor is the Captain for the Barons this season. The coaching staff is proud of the work ethic and attitude he demonstrated over this past weekend, and we would like to congratulate him on a successful offensive outbreak. He had a total of 7 points over the past two games and was a key contributor to the Baron's offence in our two home wins. Taylor had 2 goals and 3 assists in Saturday's game versus the Pictou County Weeks, and he followed up that performance with 2 assists in Sunday's match up versus the Joneljim Cougars. Taylor is an excellent role model for his peers on the team and he has been doing a great job at leading both on and off the ice this year. He has really committed to improving his play on the defensive side of the puck and he continues to find success offensively tallying 16 points (4G 12A) in his first 10 games of the season.
Darlene Armsworthy was the first winner in the Barons 50/50. It is the first week and she won $123.00. Nolan Boyd drew Darlene's number. Tickets are still on sale and are for the whole season. Congrats Darlene and thank you for your support.
Luke is one of the second year Centremen on the Baron's this year. He had a hat trick and an assist in Saturday night's game versus the Truro Bearcats. The Baron's were losing 4-2 with 1:56 to play in the third period and Luke managed to score 3 goals in the last one minute and 56 seconds to lift the Barons to a big win over Bearcats 5-4. He also followed up that performance with a 3 point game on Sunday versus the Cole Harbour Storm. He scored two goals and added an assist in another excellent offensive performance with a total of 7 points over the two games this weekend. Coxhead finishes regular season in great form.
Coxhead has produced an impressive 12 points over the two games this past weekend! He scored 4 goals and had one assist in Saturday's game and then he went out on Sunday and scored another 4 goals and had three assists, which means he contributed to all 7 of the Barons goals that game. Whether or not he wins the scoring race, at least Andrew will know he did everything in his power to put himself in a position to win! Andrew was the first player to receive the award in week number one and now on the final weekend he finishes off the season with an incredible 12 point performance. As captain of the team, he has produced game in and game out and has gone above and beyond what the coaching staff has asked of him.
His individual skill development has been outstanding over the past two years, and I know he will only continue to get better and work harder as he moves on into midget next year! Congratulations Andrew on a phenomenal season, your hard work and passion for the game continue to define your true colours both on and off the ice!
Thammachack solid on Barons blueline this season
Sounthon Thammachack bringing a solid two way game to the Barons blueline this season.
Sounthon is a second year defencemen who brings leadership and experience to the young Barons team this season. His recent contribution was a 2 goal 1 assist game over their rivals Pro Hockey Life Storm. This is more significant being from a defencemen who plays so well on both sides of the puck. His progress in offense and defence is on going and its expected he will hit the scoresheet many more times over the run of the season.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Bedford Barons as they skated to a 5-1 win over the Dartmouth Whalers to take home the trophy.

On Saturday, Kyle scored the first two goals in his teams 3-0 win over the Hawks and on Sunday, he followed that performance with three more goals and two assists as his Bedford team won against a strong Whalers club. Not only did the wins push Bedford into second place, Kyle's performance put him into a second place tie in league scoring with twenty four points in fourteen games.
