Bearcats drop pair on the weekend

The Truro Major Bantam Bearcats dropped a pair of games this past weekend.

On Saturday, the Bearcats  surrendered 2 leads in the contest and allowed five unanswered in the 3rd period to come up on the short end of a 7-3 loss to the Pro Hockey Life Storm.

Jack Lynds stopped 34 of 41 shots that came his way. The Bearcats Ben Higgins had a 3 point night (1 goal and 2 assists) in the loss. Cameron Patton and Connor Miller had singles.

On Sunday, the Bearcats hosted the Nova Jr Xmen at the RECC. The Xmen scored the first forur goals early before Truro's Matt Smith finished a nice give and go with Higgins to make the score 4-1.

The Bearcats pressed in the third, had a goal called back, but could not finish around the net. The Bearcats outshot the Xmen 33-29.

Truro's starter Alec MacDomnald was pulled after surrendering 4 goals on 15 shots. Lynds came in and turned away 13.
